From the song of loneliness to the cry of revolt of a mother from Coron, Zola's work plunges us into the heart of workers' struggles in the mines of northern France.

A real hymn to the history and inhabitants of our region, and 120 years after the death of the author of "J'accuse", Germinal is naturally presented to you today in one of the emblematic places of social utopia: Le Familistery of Guise.

150 professional and amateur artists  – actors, musicians, choristers – to highlight the hope for the slow germination of a new world built on the ashes of the old.

So that yesterday's songs of loneliness become tomorrow's fields of hope.
